What are the kids doing today?

They are good relatively speaking after getting sick - For Caroline it was Saturday and John it was Tuesday. I think we all received it at the grocery store shopping cart. Germs at their best.

I bought toothbrushes for them last night at that same lovely grocery (alone) and Caroline has a secret passion for toothbrushes. She brushed her teeth together before the bath and cried during storytime about wanting her toothbrush. Oh my what kind of monster did I create? John had no time for it. See what the difference is in boys and girls?

What are the kids doing today?

Miss Caroline is at Fooma's pool after a nice soak. We helped the kids with kicking their feet in the pool. Mom even enjoyed the pool and kicking around.


John just finished a piece of yummy chocolate cake. It was very good and I think he definitely wanted seconds. During this visit, Caroline was obsessed with the sandbox and pails. I don't know what but it was fun to take water from the baby pool and pour it into the sandbox. This entertained her for a long time. She was upset when we left as Fooma doesn't have a sandbox at her house. Here's John by the shore -- not quite sure of the ocean but at least he goes his toes wet. We put a shirt on him since he is so fair skinned. But, I think the kids had a good time.

Family Reunion

What are the kids doing today?

They were at a family reunion.

It was a hot day on August 13; however, mom was smart to bring a gallon of water in the cooler. Caroline enjoyed being with the big kids including her pap pap. John had fun but was at his wits end around 4 pm without a nap. So, away we went and Eric stayed longer.

What are the kids doing today?





We went to the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium yesterday and had a great time. I have never been there and neither have the kids and they were absolutely pooped when they came home. Caroline was good about naming the animals. I packed a sandwiches and the kids had their first tastings of Dots (ice cream dots). Yummy.
